Okay so cable service really really sucks

So here is the story
No internet except for hanging out at starbucks with my thinkpad running opensuse.
Humerously theres a couple of open connections floating nearby so i dont have to pay by the minute to the great god starbucky.

Mr cable guy on the service line kept bumping my case up the ladder to the top guy who passed it off to monday and this is from the company whos installer guys plugged the brand new crap cable modem into the old toshiba modems power supply and with my luck on top of all the outages in queens the box got fried because they plugged the 9volt box into the toshiba boxs old 12volt power supply.
